Our Understanding Birth eClass is open to all families regardless of birth hospital. This interactive program from InJoy uses videos, personal birth stories, animations, activities, and games to teach you all of the essential information you need to help you prepare for birth. 

Topics include:

• Pregnancy – body changes, discomforts, warning signs, nutrition and exercise
• Labor – birth preparation, pre-labor signs, onset of labor and 3D animation of labor process
• Stages of Labor – real-life birth stories
• Comfort Techniques – breathing, relaxation, labor and pushing positions and advice for partners
• Medical Procedures -  induction and augmentation, fetal monitoring, medical pain relief, and assistance for 2nd stage
• Cesarean Birth - reasons for surgical delivery, risks/benefits, the procedure and recovery
• Newborns -  newborn procedures, appearance, a newborn's world, SIDS prevention, choosing a Healthcare provider for baby
• Postpartum - physical and emotional changes, breastfeeding basics and more

Your online childbirth class registration includes:

• Online access for 6 months
• Personalized virtual support with a Childbirth Instructor
  

Once your registration and payment have been submitted, the online class code will be sent in your confirmation email.

It’s recommended that you register while in your sixth or seventh month of pregnancy to best retain what you learn.
